FAQs
Do I have to use a primer with Self-Leveler Plus?
MAPEI's Self-Leveler Plus always requires the use of a primer such as MAPEI's Primer T.
What are the minimum requirements for using Self-Leveler Plus over plywood?
All plywood substrates must consist of a double layer of exterior-grade plywood. Each layer should be at least 5/8" (16 mm) to 3/4" (19 mm) thick, to equal a total combined thickness of at least 1-1/4" (3.2 cm).
Will Self-Leveler Plus level by itself?
MAPEI's Self-Leveler Plus is not as fluid as water. So, it requires a little help in guiding the flow of the mixed product and in smoothing out the surface. The use of a self-leveling tool kit often helps to obtain a smooth, level, finished surface.
Can I pour MAPEI's Self-Leveler Plus by myself?
Ideally, there should be at least 3 people present when pouring a self-leveling underlayment such as MAPEI's Self-Leveler Plus. It is best to have 1 person mixing, 1 person smoothing, and 1 person pouring and transporting the buckets of mixed product.
