MAPEI's 4 to 1 Mud Bed Mix can be mixed by hand using a wheel barrel and a shovel. Start by mixing 2 quarts of water for the entire bag and very gradually add up to 1 more quart of water as needed to obtain the desired consistency. Note: When using MAPEI's 4 to 1 Mud Bed Mix to create a slope, the consistency should be fairly stiff.
