Premium, Epoxy Grout and Mortar with Color-Coated Quartz

Kerapoxy CQ is a two-component, 100%-solids, epoxy grout and mortar that is nonsagging/nonslumping in joints up to 3/8" (10 mm) in width, water-cleanable and easy to apply. Kerapoxy CQ uses a proprietary aggregate to achieve its durable color, making it excellent for countertops, high-traffic areas, and areas needing stain and chemical resistance. Easy to maintain, Kerapoxy CQ will clean to the original color and contains BioBlock technology to help protect against mold and mildew. Kerapoxy CQ does not contribute to efflorescence and has excellent resistance to chemicals, staining, alkalinity, chlorine, cracking and color
deterioration.

Is Keracolor® U recommended with wood-look tile?

It is best to use MAPEI's Ultracolor® Plus FA, MAPEI Flexcolor® CQ or Kerapoxy® CQ grout for grouting installations of wood-look plank tile.

Can I use Kerapoxy® CQ with installations of natural stone?

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ contains a color-coated quartz aggregate. So, it is a great choice for grouting most installations of natural stone, such as granite and marble. When grouting installations of polished stone tile, it is recommended to build a mockup (sample board) or, at the very least, test Kerapoxy CQ in an inconspicuous area before grouting.

Can Kerapoxy® CQ be used to grout unfilled travertine and limestone tile?

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ grout is not recommended for use with travertine and limestone tile. It is best to use MAPEI's Keracolor® U grout or MAPEI Flexcolor® CQ grout when grouting travertine tile and/or filling voids in travertine tile.

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ grout is not recommended for grouting installations of pebble stone and river rock mosaics. It is best to use MAPEI's Ultracolor® Plus FA grout when grouting pebble stone.

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ contains a color-coated quartz aggregate. So, it is a great choice for most installations of glossy wall tile. When grouting installations of antique or handmade wall tile, it is recommended to build a mockup (sample board) or, at the very least, test Kerapoxy CQ in an inconspicuous area before grouting.

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ grout is the best grout for pools and other submerged areas. Its superior stain and chemical resistance provide durability and ease of maintenance.

Can I apply another layer of Kerapoxy® CQ?

MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ grout will stick to itself. So typically, repairs can be made without removal. It is important that the grout is completely clean so that nothing will interfere with the bond.

Yes, MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ is an epoxy-based grout. Epoxy-based grouts have almost no porosity and are the most stain-resistant type of grout that MAPEI offers.

There is absolutely no benefit to sealing an epoxy-based grout, such as MAPEI's Kerapoxy CQ grout. So, sealing is not recommended.
